Ultra durable. Ultra comfy. Derived from the sap of rubber trees, our GOLS certified organic natural latex features impressive spring-back for 20+ years of support (so much longer than any old petroleum-based cushion foam).
We wrap each cushion in an envelope of lofted, OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100-certified wool for cushy, sink-in softness—unlike down, wool's resilience requires minimal fluffing to maintain its pillowy lift and support.
We've swapped out typical petroleum-based foam for thick, needled sheets of OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100-certified wool to create an extra layer of cushiony padding around our furniture frames.
Our corner-blocked frames are constructed with a blend of solid wood and formaldehyde-free PureBond® hardwood plywood for added stability, and each comes with a lifetime warranty.
Naturally tough jute is an integral part of our frame and suspension design for lasting comfort (without sagging or squeaking).

What does your latex + wool furniture feel like?
Overall, it’s a plush, supportive, and incredibly comfy lounge. Our latex foam cushion is dense with a soft, slightly springy sit, and each is wrapped in an envelope of fluffy wool for sink-in softness. Back pillows are also filled with wool, and unlike down, wool's resilience requires no fluffing to maintain its pillowy lift and support. How do natural latex + wool cushions hold up over time?
Our natural latex foam seat cushions, which come from rubber tree sap, feature a durable spring-back to hold its shape for 20+ years—much longer than traditional poly foam that you'll typically find in a sofa. Our wool fiber-filled back pillows maintain lasting fullness and structure, too. Naturally pliant, wool fibers can bend an astonishing 20,000 times before they break!
Overall, both of these natural materials offer more resilience, structure, and support than standard poly foams and fillings—all while being easier on the planet and better to bring into your home.

We’ve found that individual material certifications are a more effective way to understand what goes into making your furniture. I love the aesthetic of the Rio Sofa Bed, and the dimensions are very generous. What impressed me the most is that, in addition to the excellent build quality, the cushions were immediately comfortable. The Medley team has seemingly considered everything too while remaining discreet and beautiful (built-in gliders on the feet, back cushions velcroed to stay up, etc.).
I recently had a guest stay over and use the sofa bed. They're not easy to please, and they were skeptical when I mentioned the sofa bed. As soon as they pulled it out, they feared even more it would be a rough sleep. I asked the next couple of days about it, and they said they had no problems, showing me their sleep tracker. They were in disbelief that a mattress could be so thin and yet so comfortable. Once more, kudos to the Medley team for putting so much thought and care into their pieces.

I love the materials, look, and comfort of the couch. The bed was not as comfortable as I would’ve hoped as I could feel the frame hence the 1 but with a topper got a wool & latex one from woolroom and it’s perfect can’t feel the frame at all.

We waited much longer than we were told we would have to wait when we purchased it, so just factor that in to your mindset… But that said, we couldn’t be happier with this couch! It is the perfect amount of firmness for us, and everything arrived in perfect shape. I have to say we haven’t tested out the bed even once, so can’t comment on that. It was important to us to have a couch made with non-toxic materials so it was worth the extra cost to go with the latex and wool. Overall highly recommend.
